Almand House

207 North Macdonald Street

Tudor Revival
1928
Architect Joe Nesbitt
Building Unaltered

Built in the fall of 1928 as the residence of Jesse M. Almand,
longtime secretary of the Independent Cotton and Oil Co.

The house was constructed by Mesa contractor Joe Nesbitt. Almand owned and occupied the house through the 1930’s.

One of the best local examples of the Tudor Revival Style. Distinctive
characteristics include steep pitched wood shingled roof, casement windows, and a sweeping eave at the porch.
