203 North Macdonald Street

Bungalow
1926
Architect Unknown
Building Unaltered

Built in 1926 as the residence for Charles E. Golding, a local agent
for the Texas Co.,Texaco.

Golding occupied the house until 1932 when it was sold to Mesa pharmacist Robert T. Jones who was later Governor of Arizona. Some time during the 1930’s the house was purchased by Dr. Sharp, one of the two physician living in Mesa at that time.

In the 1940’s the house was owned and occupied by M. L. Gibbons.

A good example of the Bungalow Style  in a large
residential format.

The deep veranda and oversized masonry piers give the house
a distinctive appearance.
